Welcome to my new blog.  I love to make cards to share with friends and family. I also love to share what I have learned with others that are interested. I decided a blog would be a great way to do it! I am not an expert; however, I may be able to help you with a few creative tips and ideas, especially if you are new to cardmaking. This is such a fun hobby!

I started making cards a few years ago. Inspired by a parent who volunteered in our school. She gave us unique handmade greeting cards as Christmas gifts. They were wonderful!  She helped me get started with cardmaking.  A few months after I got started, a different friend asked if we should have a “Stamp Camp” with our Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator, I thought, “Sure!  I don’t know what Stampin’ Up!® is…. but let’s do it!”  That was all it took for me to fall in love with the Stampin’ Up!®  products. From the start, I have always loved the high-quality paper and how all the paper/ink/stamps are coordinated, this makes cardmaking much easier.  Fast forward to June of 2020 when I was cleaning out my craft room during the lockdowns (as I am sure many of you did, purely out of boredom of being stuck at home! 😊) I realized most of the items I was using, were Stampin’ Up! products. I had other items but was not using them. That was my “Ah ha” moment!  I decided it was time to become a Stampin’ Up!® Independent “hobby" Demonstrator… I needed the discount, lol! I also wanted to be part of a cardmaking community. I have been a hobby demo, in the U.S., for 2 years now.  I not only love the Stampin’ Up!® products, but I also enjoy the access to virtual card classes, the early access to new catalogs and products, and the community of other stampers/card makers, from all over the world!

 Please know that I use Stampin’ Up!® products, and if you are interested, please ask me, I would love to be your demonstrator (if you don't already have one), or click on the link at the top of the page. Otherwise, use what you have and love. You can switch out any paper that you choose - just have fun and enjoy cardmaking with me!

Now, back to the reason I started this blog…I have shared my cards on Instagram and people have mostly asked me ‘how to’ questions. It always makes me excited when someone asks me a question about something that I have made! For the last few months, I have been wanting to find an avenue to help answer those questions, help beginners, and share my joy for cardmaking. It was time to try a blog (along with Instagram) so I could share those joys with you. 

Have patients as I navigate my way through this blog stuff. It is all new to me.  But I have been learning and trying new things - and here I am!  It shall get better!
