I like this card kit from the Stampin' Up!®  Card Kit Collection. The collection can be found online at stampinup.com/kits.  The kits are "while supplies last" and then new kits are added to the collection. So please check online randomly to see if there have been new kits added. The beauty of card kits are that they are easy and quick to make, they come with everything you need to make them, except scissors, but hey, who doesn't own a pair of scissors??   I like to buy the kits during the holidays to add to the cards that I make. It is nice to have a selection from a box with all the thinking done for you so you can make them quickly. Sometimes when I am busy making several Christmas cards, my mind becomes drained and it is hard to come up with anything new. This is when the kits are great! No thinking involved unless you want to make alternate cards,. I often do this (when I'm not stressed)!  You get what you need, and then you can add other products to make the cards a little different to give them your own touch.

It's never too soon to make more Halloween cards!  I know! I posted a Halloween card last week.  I just can't stop playing with the Bewitching Bundle from the Stampin' Up! July-Dec. Mini Catalog. 
I really like the Witching Hat Builder Punch. It is fun! I also like the legs/boots from the stamp set. I normally don't make slimline cards. I am not a huge fan of these, however, I wanted my hats to stack on each other and this card size was an option. 

I hope you like these cards as I had fun making them. I am sure there will be more holiday cards to post here before September, lol!😉 (I actually made more tonight!) But for now, I will continue with the measurements of these two cards.😊

Before I go on, I must mention that the sentiment inside the slimline card is retired and is no longer available.

Card #7 Bewitching Bundle Halloween Cards

I always get excited for the Stampin' Up!® July-December Mini Catalog to come out each year just to see what fun Halloween paper and other products are new.  I love the colors of Halloween. The purples, oranges, and black, those colors together make me happy and are festive.  Orange and purple...yes, yes!😊😊  I will be honest, some years the Designer Series Halloween paper is better than others.  However, I still have fun with whatever is current.  This year's July-Dec. Mini Catalog has some fun DSP and stamps.  I have only made two cards so far, but hey, it's only August!  😊

Let's get started with what I have used!

Card #6 An Easy Card Made With Only a Few Products

**This Designer Series Paper is retired. The Night of Navy and Basic White cardstock is available.  Keep this in mind, because you can find other paper that can work on it's own.

The reason I am showing you this card is because I was asked how to make a card with very little product.  This card came to mind as an example of that. It was from a pack of  DSP (designer series paper) that has beautiful watercolor images.  You could add something to the image or just leave it as is, with just a stamped sentiment.  I love this paper. I am sorry it has retired. However, there are always many beautiful designer papers to choose from, to essentially make a card as easy as this one. I know that it is difficult to decide what to purchase for cardmaking when just starting out.  However, if you are like me, you want to buy everything, and yet you don't want to blow your budget! 😐  One of the wonderful things about Stampin' Up!® is their products coordinate, and that makes it easy to find things that go nicely together. I suggest finding items, like DSP,  that you can use all by themselves (like the piece I used on this card) and then later on, when you begin to grow your inventory of product, you can also use those items to step it up a notch.😊

At some point I will post about products you can purchase that will get you off to a great start as a beginner, and then build on those things.  Stay tuned for that post.

My Favorite Cardmaking Tools

I wanted to show some of my all time favorite tools for cardmaking. It really helps to have good tools to make it easier and more successful.  For example, until I found the Simply Shammy cleaning mat, I had ruined several stamped sentiments and imagines (and wasted so much paper)  UGH!  It is a game changer for me! The shammy is used to wipe/clean off your stamps. It cleans very well and doesn't leave dust or lint like the wipes or paper towels did for me.  Just wet the mat, use it until it needs rewetting, continue on.  You may have something that works well for you, however, if you are a beginner and are looking for an easy way to clean off your stamps, this may be helpful for you.

Okay, enough about that, let's get on to all my other favorites... (Yes, there are more😊)

Card #5 A Card For the Fall Season

Hello! I had to try out my new stamp set, embossing folder and a Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper (Rings of Love, free with a $50 purchase) from Stampin' Up!® . Even though it is a beautiful summer day here, my fall card is calling me, the stamp set was sitting on my desk (begging me to make a card! 😂) so I had to play with it! The products and measurements are listed below.  Just a reminder... you can swap out any supplies. Use what you have or if you are interested in the items I used, the item numbers are also listed below.

Card #4 Beautiful Colors in the Awash In Beauty Designer Series Paper

   Happy Monday!  I posted these cards on my Instagram account a couple of weeks ago and thought

 I  would add these to my blog so I can share the measurements. I used another beautiful sheet of Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!  You can find it online from the Stampin' Up!® 2022   Annual Catalog. 

 I will label the first card - on the left with the flower die - card one. Card two will be the one on the right. I should have marked them prior to uploading here. Oh well!  🤷

Cards #3 Quick and Easy Floral Cards

Hello!  I made several of these cards today. They were easy and fun. I was happy to use a good amount of my paper. Sometimes when I am getting to the end of my Designer Series Paper (DSP), I like to challenge myself to use the rest of it so I don't have any left over.  I got very close to using all I had left of  Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper on this project! You do get 12 sheets ( 2 each of 6 double-sided designs)in the pack. You can make a lot of cards with the one pack and I have done that! 

For this card  I CASEd the design from Lisa Freeman. I changed the look with the DSP and I did not curl the corners of the middle layer. She has great YouTube videos. She makes beautiful cards. 

 For one set of cards in the photo I used current Designer Series Paper and for the other I used retired paper. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers!💜 Unfortunately it is no longer available to purchase, however, I will continue to use it.  The stamp set that was part of the tulip suite collection is still available in the Stampin' Up!®2022 Annual Catalog (Flowering Tulip Stamp Set).

Card # 2 Sale-A-Bration July-August 2022 Designer Series Paper Card

Hi again!  This is another easy and quick card... my favorite type of card.  I absolutely love this DSP!  It is so beautiful!  I have a few rooms in my house painted with many of these colors. I love it!  This Designer Series Paper is from the Stampin' Up!® July-August 2022 Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  This paper is called:  Rings of Love, it is free with a $50 purchase.  However, you can  make this card with any paper you choose.

Card #1 Lovely paper from the 2022 July-Aug Sale-A-Bration Catalog

Hello, this is my first card post! I am loving this Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper. It is so pretty. I used the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper and the Wonderful World Stamp Set.. This can also be made with whatever paper you have on hand. If you are new to cardmaking, you may not have a die cut/embossing machine, however, you can cut the layers with your trimmer.

The card base and envelope, are also from the Stampin' Up!® July-August 2022 Sale-A-Bration Catalog.  Unfortunately, the cards and envelopes are no longer in stock.  You also can swap out the card base with any colored cardstock and use a basic white envelope.
