Two Alternate Cards Using the Kit
I like this card kit from the Stampin' Up!® Card Kit Collection. The collection can be found online at stampinup.com/kits. The kits are "while supplies last" and then new kits are added to the collection. So please check online randomly to see if there have been new kits added. The beauty of card kits are that they are easy and quick to make, they come with everything you need to make them, except scissors, but hey, who doesn't own a pair of scissors?? I like to buy the kits during the holidays to add to the cards that I make. It is nice to have a selection from a box with all the thinking done for you so you can make them quickly. Sometimes when I am busy making several Christmas cards, my mind becomes drained and it is hard to come up with anything new. This is when the kits are great! No thinking involved unless you want to make alternate cards,. I often do this (when I'm not stressed)! You get what you need, and then you can add other products to make the cards a little different to give them your own touch.
The first card shown is the one I put together using the kit directions. Very quick, easy, and fun. The second photo shows the two I changed up a bit. Not much change, just enough to make the card a little more colorful. I added Real Red cardstock. I then cut the card kit card base in half and used it as the layer for my alternate. I will use the back half of the card base for another project later. I then used the die and sentiment (Tis The Season) from the Christmas Banner Bundle. I also added the Real Red Ribbon and some gems (the gems are retired). For the second alternate card, I again used the Real Red cardstock, then added another layer of gold foil. I used the die from Christmas Banner Bundle, and the sentiment is from the actual card kit. Very simple, yet it makes the design pop with color.

Christmas Banner Bundle These can be purchased separately:
Basic White Cardstock For the sentiment and for the inside piece, cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
Red Rhinestones Use for embellishments (I used a retired red set. However, I will use the Red Rhinestones on the rest of these cards)
Have fun with your kits, make as directed or add a little touch of your own. 😊
