Card One
Card Two (Front/Inside)
It's never too soon to make more Halloween cards! I know! I posted a Halloween card last week. I just can't stop playing with the Bewitching Bundle from the Stampin' Up! July-Dec. Mini Catalog.
I really like the Witching Hat Builder Punch. It is fun! I also like the legs/boots from the stamp set. I normally don't make slimline cards. I am not a huge fan of these, however, I wanted my hats to stack on each other and this card size was an option.
I hope you like these cards as I had fun making them. I am sure there will be more holiday cards to post here before September, lol!😉 (I actually made more tonight!) But for now, I will continue with the measurements of these two cards.😊
Before I go on, I must mention that the sentiment inside the slimline card is retired and is no longer available.
Card One
Card base is Gorgeous Grape cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Designer Series Paper I used a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Gingham Cottage
Bewitching Bundle: I used the punch and the stamp set
Embellishments: Black & White Gingham Ribbon (colored the ribbon with Stampin' Blends to match the ink for the stamped hats), Rhinestones Basic Jewels (I used Highland Heather Stampin' Blend marker to color them)
Stampin' Blends Combo Pack: I colored the knotted ribbon with, Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather, Parakeet Party
Classic Stampin' Pads: Pumpkin Pie, Gorgeous Grape, Parakeet Party, Basic Gray (for the legs and boots, I would use Tuxedo Black Memento next time - the gray was much too light)
Wink Of Stella
Card Two
Slimline Card
Card base is Parakeet Party 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 3 3/4"
Cardstock Layer is Gorgeous Grape 3 1/2" x 8 1/4"
Designer Series Paper is Gingham Cottage cut at 3 1/4" x 8 " and a piece for layering for the inside. I cut that piece at 3 1/4" by 8"
Cardstock Basic White scrapes used for the hat punch, and a piece for the inside, 2 3/4" x 6", you could cut this whatever size you would like for the inside. Decorate as you please.
Bewitching Bundle I used both the punch and the stamp set
Classic Stampin' Pad Pumpkin Pie, Parakeet Party, Gorgeous Grape
Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad This was used for the stamped image and the sentiment
Stampin' Blends Combo Pack Pumpkin Pie, Parakeet Party, Highland Heather
Rhinestone Basic Jewels; I colored with Parakeet Party Stampin' Blend
Wind Of Stella
I used the Stampin' Blends for the hat and for the horizontal stripes that I added to the Designer Series Paper. I used the Parakeet Party and Highland Heather blend marker to change the color of the horizontal stripe. Card one and two both use the Gingham Cottage DSP, however for card one I did not use the blends to add the colored stripes. You can see the difference in the two pictures. If you are wondering why I didn't use the Gorgeous Grape Stampin' Blend marker, it is because I didn't have that color! Otherwise I would have.
The Bewitching Bundle can also be purchase separately, either the stamp set or the hat punch. You save 10% if you purchase the bundle. I just linked the bundle as that is what I have. You can find them both online.
****The sentiment for the inside of the slimline card is no longer available because it is retired.
Thank you for reading my post. Stay tuned for more!
